frequently asked questions

can i do a trial class?

Absolutely! Send an email to holly@comebackdancecollective.com and let us know what class you’d like to try and when. if you like it, you can retroactively register at a pro-rated cost. If it’s not for you, all good!

what is a typical class structure?

It varies by class, but generally, we start with a warm up, some center/skill work, across the floor work, and then learn a fun combination to popular music putting together some of the skills we worked on in class.

what clothing should i wear?

No dance tights necessary (but always welcome)! Wear what you would wear to the gym or a yoga class; whatever makes you feel comfortable, allows you to move freely, and wicks sweat/keeps you cool - things can get sweaty!

what footwear should i wear?

Tap requires tap shoes. You can purchase at En Pointe Boutique in Port Hope. For jazz & ballet, you can wear bare feet, sock feet, jazz shoes or ballet shoes if you have them. For Broadway, you can wear bare feet, sock feet, jazz shoes, or character shoes if you have them.

what if i have to miss a class?

No problem! Life happens. We all have lives, jobs, kids, etc. Each class is standalone, but like anything, the more consistent you are, the more progress you will make. We do not offer refunds for missed classes.

what is the average age in class?

We have dancers as young as 22 all the way into their 60's. The average age is 35-45. We are an inclusive group and anyone between 18-99 is welcome to join. Modifications are always offered.

what if i’ve never danced before?

Please join us! Everyone has to start somewhere. Level 1 or open level classes are recommended. Ballet & Jazz Basics or Tap Foundations is a great place to start. Absolute beginners are always welcome and encouraged.
